Music Crush - Au Revoir Simone

I discovered this band recently and I now have a super crush on them! I have a serious habit of playing a new newly found crush over and over again and this will be no exception. A truly great new years eve dancing tuneage! muchos bopping!

Skola Christmas card

This is a recent job that I worked on with the talented illustrator Tonwen Jones for Skola schools. It was awesome and challenging collaborating; brilliant to see how someone else approaches the project but also quite tough to not have full control, I certainly learnt a lot.

Amelia's Magazine with some peacocks and sparkles

You can see another illustration I did for Amelia's Magazine here. A 1970's fashion film, with some rather fantastic erotic posing and lots of sparkles and feathers. Put on a brew and go have a gander, there's lots of other sweet stuff over there.

The best present EVER

Yesterday my good friend Charlie Davis took me out for tea and cake and then presented me with this tremendous fellow as a thank you gift. A Liberty ball ball combined with a cute and some may say a slightly ugly (gasp) dog, made me swoon with joy. Happy days

Drinking Tea through a KitKat...

I just received a copy of a Scottish newspaper illustration I did the other week on the comedian Jason Cook. He's spending a year creating/cooking up his 'Recipes for a better life'. Made for some very amusing reading!

Selvedge Magazine - Feed the Birds

This is quite late, last week was so hectic with work, and I have only just come up for air.
We went and said hello to the guys from Selvedge magazine from when the design festival was on (who were all lovely). We stitched and snipped away, creating our little london pigeons, minus the manky feet and tatty feathers! I think they look great all out picking on the remnants of peoples lunchs and I look forward to mine flying down to B-town.

Vodafone / CiliCilli Magazine

Here is some photos of the last CiliChili Magazine I illustrated. It was such an awesome brief, the Vodafone guys and &&& were so great to work with. We have the same humour, whihc lead to a few uncontrollable laughing fits (on my part) with the Art Director discussing the brief!

unknown

I'm not sure what to call this gent yet, I'm not sure if he looks like someone that would work in a old sweet shop (and would give Billy the poor kid a free boiled sweet every Tuesday) or a Pharmacist? May have to think about this one a bit more...

Cynthia.M.Booth

I think Cyhthia would have a soft spoken voice, unkept eyebrows but lovely long hair. She would always wear a piece of lace and loved the smell of new books.

Jack

Jack has somehow ended up looking like a boy out of Enid Blyton's Famous Five book. He looks so sweet and innocent, I think he would of been a really kind gentleman. Every Sunday he would of brought out his entire model toy collection and cleaned them all very quietly.

Imaginary family tree

I found this amazing Victorian photo album at a car boot in the West country. Lost and forgotten I want to build the family tree and give every character a name, a job, and a passion, which I will piece together into a family tree.

Music Man finished...finally

This illustration took me AGES, I don't normally work in such a large scale but it was really fun, though my hand did resemble some sort of bear claw once I had finished.

Music man

It was my boyfriends birthday last weekend, he's my music man and can pretty much play everything (one talented lad). This was a killer A2 drawing/biro doodle, this is half way through. At this point I was kicking myself for not doing in A3, as it had already taken me 3 days.

VINTAGE SEWING REELS

Working on drawing the contents of my gran's sewing box. Some of the things are so old, there too precious for me to use, I love just looking at them.

Crochet Genius!

I have been a fan of Kate Jenkins work for a while, I went on a stroll around the Open Houses in Brighton on the weekend and popped over to Cardigan and was blown away by her new collection, well and everything really. If your in town it is a must, if not then have a gander at her website and blog.

Howdy

Feeling somewhat precious and nervous on the first post so have picked a little drawing I'm working on to get started. He is Chico who was my first dog, I have a slight soft spot for small and some say ugly dogs.
This will be my place to display workings and sketches that don't make the cut for my website and also a place to gather all the lovely things and sigh over that I discover on the internet.

p.s Mountain goat is the name my boyfriend calls me, but I don't look like a goat!
