Tick Tock Tilly

Here are some watches I did the other day for my agency Eastwing and something else I will reveal soon!

Festival frolicking

Above is the illustration I did for my agency Eastwing about summer music festivals. I love music festivals and I always try to make my way to a few each year. I love the effort people go to with fancy dress, full of creative craziness, with the token fairy wings and the inevitable Mexican hat blocking people's views!

Being a rather small individual I usually struggle to see the stage and spend most of my time dodging plastic cups as I balance on a friends shoulder so I can grab a glimpse of the act, if I had the nerve I would attempt to crowd surf but I have always been to nervous! Maybe one day I'll brave it!

Tilly is now represented by Eastwing Agency!

I am now represented by the fine folk at Eastwing Agency! Pretty chuffed to be among other super talented illustrators such as Paul Blow, Lizzy Stewart, Lucie Sherdien and Zara Picken to name a few. I'm off to toast myself with an Earl Grey, tomorrow's my Birthday so I'll keep the champers on ice for now.

Cupcakes and Wine

I went to have a gander at Glynde festival on the weekend, with wellies one and brolly in hand! Here is a few pics of the MasterChef winners who were doing demo's (but no tasters to our disappointment!) and the brochures with my illustrations on. I have to say we spent most of the day tasting all the English wines and stuffing cupcakes.

Lots more work to post shortly, waiting for work to be released before I can post!

I've noticed a mahoosive number of fine folk having a gander over here the last couple of days, my ears where burning but it wasn't until a lovely blogger told me her route to this blog that I knew who to Thank. The lovely Pip of Meet Me At Mikes has done a glorious feature of my work and it certainly brightened up the studio on these super gloomy days (oh how I love British weather). Running For Crayons - Space Hoppers

Something I have been working on lately

Creative Review and a 99p with Quentin

Creative Review just ran a little quick competition on Twitter - to tell or twitpic/draw them an illustration-themed lie; mine was 'I spend the summer in Bognor with Quentin and a 99p with a flake'. It didn't win but I did only have 15 minutes, I wish this wasn't a lie I'd love to have Quentin as a chum.

Bognor and an Animal Collective

This week has been grand, lots of drawing going on - I've been working on some illo's for a rather brilliant holiday camp/resort, making me reminisce of donkey rides and floppy hot dogs.

Here's my animals all herded up together.

Running For Crayons - Matrix Creative Marketing

Here are a few of the full illustrations that I posted as sneak peeks the other week. I was asked by Matrix to do a series of illustrations for an exhibition they were doing. They were great clients to work for, after completing the 6 illustrations they commissioned me again to do a life size cut out of a couple of my characters, in the style of a pier comedy portrait - had a blast doing them all.

Running For Crayons - ABC sneak peek

Here is another sneek peek, this time it's the B I did for the ABC project. My text was about a troop of bandit baboons building the letter B, from their victims belongings.

My sister suggested I listen to this band the other day and I LOVE them. The just sound perfect and really appropriate for the spring like optimism in the air. They have lots of good tunes, my other favourite is Paper Aeroplane, just brilliant.
